The problem

Clinicians managing Tourette Syndrome often rely on tic diaries — which are easy to forget, biased by recall, and hard to analyze. The clinician ends up with anecdotes instead of data.

What it is

TicVision is a tic-tracking app with remote therapeutic monitoring: log tics and their context, then share structured data with clinicians. It’s a product of Simplest Healthcare, sibling to CoralEHR — measure the tic, and the therapy can go remote.

How it’s built

React Native (Expo) on a serverless AWS stack, with APIs secured behind an API Gateway Cognito authorizer.

Traction

250+ downloads, and presented at TIC-CON 2025 — billed as the world’s largest tic-disorder conference.

The ML study

I led a study on de-identified TicVision data using tree-based models to predict tic intensity and high-risk episodes. The goal is to inform future in-product predictive features and clinical decision support — built on data people actually generated, not a synthetic benchmark.
